The most important element in determining the quality of pet care is the compassion, love and dedication of those people working at your kennel. Cornerbrooks Kennels employs the most experienced and talented caregivers in Cold Lake. While each person tends to specialize in a certain area, they each care for all breeds of dogs and cats with superior ability.
Tanya -
Executive Care Giver and Pet Stylist
I took over Cornerbrooks Kennels from my mom in 2008 with my family. This was a natural transition for me. I began professional grooming in 2000. I had been wanting to create a pet spa for years and when the time came allowing me to combine my three loves (Grooming, pampering pets and being with my family,) we jumped in with both feet. Being an artistic person lends to my love of grooming. I cheerfully and patiently groom all dogs, I have a keen eye for creativity and precision. I am equally comfortable with large or small dogs, long hair or short. I love when they come in for their spa day and groom, and I adore it when they come to stay with us for sleepovers. Being with the animals makes every day fantastic. I have owned both dogs and cats my entire life, and I have a sincere and earnest affection for animals. I share my heart with all the animals, and I can tell they feel it instantly. Allow your pets to relax and enjoy being here at Cornerbrooks Kennels, just as much as we enjoy them.
Aron-Handyman and Snuggler
Aron is my husband. He is our resident Handiman and is responsible for all the wonderful new changes and updates in our kennel. He works full time in the military but each day takes time to spend with our guests and loves bringing extra special goodies and treats to the guests. He enjoys sitting and snuggling and is a wonderful addition to our loving team. Our dogs are always happy to see Aron and get very excited when they see him.
Judi- Vacationing Consultant
Judi moved to Cold Lake from Ontario in 1994 and has never looked back. She is a 20 year cancer survivor. She bred dogs for many years and with her husband and decided to build a small facility for her dogs and maybe a couple of other pets. The doors of Cornerbrooks Kennels were opened November 17, 1999. This was to be her passion for the next 8 years. Cornerbrooks kennels grew because of Judi's love of the pets that she cared for. She is now semi-retired but she still pops in to help out, take part in our pet parties and spend time with the pets she loves.
Shari-Relaxation Coach
After spending 14 years in construction and the oil patch, I decided I wanted to take a time out. My family and I wanted a slower pace, so we moved to an acreage outside of town and we adopted 2 dogs from the humane society. With this move came my newfound appreciation for dogs. I decided that I wanted to go back to work. This time I wanted a job where I would get to love and work with animals. So I joined the team at Cornerbrooks Kennels in 2009 and I am loving it and enjoying every moment. Life doesn't get any better that this. P.S I recently adopted 2 more puppies from the humane society and we are happy to have them join our family
S'more-Motivation Specialist
S'more is my 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Shepard Cross. He is goofy, silly and loves to play. He is also gentle and loving and he works with me every day. I head up to the kennel with my loyal S'more beside me. He spends his day working as well, playing with our guests. S'mores list of friends grows by the day. He loves his job and our guests love having him here.
You can see my little photo ham Isabelle here as well.
Cora-Pet Primper
I am now back in Cold Lake for my second go-around and absolutely loving the experience of living in the North, close to the water. I was originally raised in Marwayne and after all the moving of a military life, am happy to be finally "home" in Alberta and close to family. I'm the lucky mom of two great kids and together we recently rescued our very best friend, Bella, from the Lakeland Humane Society. I have been interested in working with animals from a very early age and getting to know and care for all the pets that regularly visit the kennel has been an absolute joy. I'm very grateful to be so warmly welcomed as part of the Cornerbrooks family.
Holly-Recreation Director
Holly is a wonderful addition to our team. She comes to us with a heart full of love and fun for our guests. Holly moved here with her family from Nova Scotia. She has an English Setter Monty that she spends her time with playing and touring around our beautiful Cold Lake. We are so lucky to have Hollys smiling face with us and our guests agree.

Carly-Pet Pampress
Carly is a fun and outgoing part of our team. She was born in Scarborough, Ontario and moved to Cold Lake along with her beau Joe. They have two cats of their own named Sassy and Jinx. Carly's first pet as a child was an orange cat named Melody. She was very special to her and in her memory she had her name tatooed. She loves the anything to do with outdoors and working with animals. The opportunity to get to know each and every one of their personalities is a joy.
Adian, Keean and Sienna-Super fantastic Play Experts
These are my three children who love working and helping me with the kennel. They love helping and playing with all of our guests.
